ALYESKA "A" LITTER

VASHON AND FREI

Alyeska Pup,7 weeks old

We at Alyeska German Shepherds are very excited and pleased about the health and quality of the first litter of pups from Vashon von der Maineiche, our Asko von der Lutter daughter (German Shepherd World Schutzhund Champion). Vashon had a magnificent litter of seven healthy and extremely vigorous puppies, two powerful and strong boys and five equally impressive girls. These pups are very powerful, healthy pups with big heads, extremely vigorous constitutions and energy levels and all were very well put together, with incredible bone and substance...an impressive group. These pups exhibit fearless, social natures, very nice structure, and impressive drives. In addition, all of the pups have rich, beautiful pigment. All but one of these pups have gone to new homes, some as far away New York. We are wishing the best for these special pups. This was truly an outstanding litter. I hope to soon receive new pictures of the individual pups from their new homes and families, and I will post any pictures of these pups as soon as they are received.

Vashon is from one of the top working German Shepherd kennels in the world, Zwinger "von der Maineiche," in Frankfurt, Germany. She is also an extremly agile and quick dog, possessing incredible natural scenting and tracking abilities. PEDIGREE OF VASHON VON DER MAINEICHE

Vashon is a daughter of Asko von der Lutter, the 2000 WUSV Weltmeister (World Schutzhund Champion) and German Bundessieger (German National Schutzhund Champion). Asko is retired now and is currently producing exceptional progeny and grand-progeny in Germany. He now gaining great acclaim as a producer of the same qualities which brought him so much success in Schutzhund championships. His sons and daughters, and their sons and daughters in turn, are showing his same aptitude for work, coupled with stable temperaments, very good hip health, and good looks. Most dogs who win at the world level never go on to produce this level of ability in their own puppies. Asko, and his bloodline, is becoming highly sought after as it becomes more and more clear that Asko DOES pass on his working ability and health in his pups, and most of his pups, in fact, exceed him in terms of structure and overall looks, with many sons and daughters V-rated (excellent) in conformation.

Vashon's motherline is equally impressive. Her mother, Quana von der Maineiche,is a V Neck von der Maineiche daughter. Neck was a multiple Bundessierprüfung (German National Working Schutzhund high trial) participant, and Neck in turn sired several Bundessiegerprüfung (BSP) participants, including the 4 time BSP participant, 3 time BSP V-rated V Dasty vom HainPark. Quana is from a litter of 5 SchH3 males, several of whom also went to the LGA trials. Quana is linebred 2-3 on V Xento von der Maineiche, a BSP and BSZS (German National Conformation Championships) participant and a foundation sire at Maineiche Kennels. Xento is the 5th place sire of all time in terms of producing BSP participant progeny.

Vashon's great-grandmother (Quana's grandmother) is Rima von der Maineiche, a BSP participant and top brood female at Maineiche Kennels. Rima's litter brother, Ron, was also a BSP participant and well-known sire. Also in Vashon's pedigree can be found Andy vom Bildsäule, winner of the WPO (World Police Dog championships) and a top sire of his day of both police dogs and other working dogs. Andy's sire was the very famous Uwe vom Kirschental, and his grandsire was the equally if not more famous Drigon vom Furhrmannshof, 1976 German Bundesseiger with the amazing score of 299!!. Drigon is the top German Shepherd sire of all time for producing working champions and BSP participants. In short, Vashon has a pedigree consisting of some of the best-known older West German working lines available today. As a result, we were very selective in choosing the appropriate stud dog to complement and enhance not only Vashon's pedigree and bloodlines, but also to match Vashon's strong and extremly balanced working temperament.

PEDIGREE OF V FREI von HAUS SMITS

Vashon was bred to V Frei von Haus Smits, a recent top import from Germany. Frei is an outstanding young working male, possessing extremely high working drives in combination with an exceptionally stable and social temperament. Frei is many times Schutzhund 3 in Germany, and all his scores are outstanding. Frei's top scores in the individual Schutzhund disciplines are: Tracking: 100, Obedience: 100 and Protection: 99!! Frei is an exceptionally powerful, large and imposing male, with an extremely full and hard bite in the protection phase. Frei has very rich pigment, very nice overall structure, a big boned male with a very large, masculine head.

Frei's pedigree is also a Who's Who of top German working dog champions. Frei's father, Bandit vom Königstollen, was a very successful schutzhund dog and LGA participant (German Regional Finals) and a successful sire in Germany. He is now in the United States being used as a top stud dog for a very well-known and respected police dog breeding and training facility. Bandit is not only known for his impressive work, but also for his superb structure and his prepotency. He produces attractive, structurally powerful pups with big heads, nice bone and very good health. However, first and foremost, Bandit produces puppies that have very solid, steady temperaments. This nerve strength enables his progeny to be successful police K9's. He is not merely a producer of "sport dogs" that cannot handle real-life situations. However, Bandit's superb temperament also makes him a very good sire for home guardians and companions as well as active working and service dogs.

Frei's paternal grandsire is the renowned Fero vom Zeuterner Himmelriech, the 2nd place sire of all time in producing BSP participant progeny. Frei's maternal grandfather is the very well-known and successful sire, Arry vom Pendel Bach. Arry's father is the famous Fax vom Haus Bernhart-Mader. Also in Frei's pedigree can be found other reknowned dogs such as Tom Wolfendobel, Asko vom Joufne Keyleff, and Ilja aus dem schwarzen Zwinger. With such an impressive pedigree and working temperament, we though Frei would complement Vashon very well. The Alyeska "A" litter is bred 6-6 (technically not a linebreeding, since it is "off the page" of the pedigree) on Uwe vom Kirschental, the extremely famous German working sire and BSP participant.
