AMOS VON GETEVALLEI IN WINNING FORM AT THE 2005 SCHH3 REGIONALS
Jennifer Corso has had outstanding success with her young male, Amos von
Getevallei. "Moss" earned his SchH 1 with the impressive scores of 94-94-96=
284!!. Amos was High SchH 1 and also earned the High Obedience score in
the trial. Amos and Jennifer went on, just a few weeks later, to achieve
High SchH2 in Trial at the Rocky Mountain Regional Championships! Later Moss went on to WIN the Rocky Mountain Regional Schutzhund 3 Championships in 2005!! He went on to compete in the United States Schutzund National Championships as one of the youngest dogs and one of several hot dogs at the trial packed with professionally trained and handled dogs. Moss also
received OFA EXCELLENT on hip rating. We are proud and pleased
for Jennifer and this outstanding young son of Xinet von Getevallei, one of our top breeding bitches here at Alyeska. Amos is
a prime example of the type of quality progeny our breeding females are
capable of producing.
Amos von Getevallei recently repeated his SchH III in the summer of 2006, earning High SchH 3, and High in Obedience. We look forward to seeing him compete at the Nationals again in 2006.

Congratulations to Delta vom Alyeska, SchH2, SAR2 Owned by Kirk Smith, Delta has excelled in every endeavor she has been challenged with, and she is also a marvelous home protector and companion for the Smith children. Recently, Delta's owner discovered Delta outside the seven-foot fence to his property....covered head to toe in blood. Once he cleaned off the blood, he realized Delta had only a small cut on her hind leg, not enough to account for the large amount of blood covering her body. In searching his property, he found where Delta had jumped the 7 foot fence. When examining the outside of the fence perimeter, he found 2 large coyotes, an 80 lb male and a 65 lb female. They had been burrowing under the fence to his yard where his children play. Delta killed the coyote intruders, and promptly went back to the gate and waited to be let in to resume her usual guard duties!! If that weren't enough for one young female, Delta is now on her way to earning her FEMA certification! At not even quite 2 years of age, Delta is already the lead dog for the Arkansas SAR team. Delta is a daughter of one of our top breeding females, Xinet von Getevallei. |

CHESS
AND XYGO PUPS BORN MARCH 25, 2005!!
LARGE, VERY VIGOROUS SOLID BLACKS AND BI-COLORS, ALL WITH HUGE HEADS
Chess vom Alyeska has
A-normal hips and earned
her SchH1 title on February, 20 2005. Chess was outstanding
in her obedience and very strong, consistent and confident in her high-scoring,
pronounced protection routine. Chess is an exceptional dog in all phases of
the work, with superfast retrieves, consistently full and hard grips, incredible
trainability and outstanding drives. Chess was a great female at 2 years of age, but is FAR more impressive as a 3 and 1/2 year old. Chess is a daughter of one of our top
breeding females, Finess von den Wannaer Hohen, and whenever Chess is on the
field working, everyone takes notice of this spirited, drivey and flashy young
female. Chess' father is the well-known dog, Fado
von der Lutter, half brother to the 1998 Bundessieger (German National
Schutzhund Champion) and 2000 WUSV Weltmeister (World Schutzhund Champion), Asko von der Lutter. Fado is both a Schutzhund
dog and an active police SAR dog in Holland, noted for his ideal working character
and "very pronounced" working ability, a designation given to only about one
out of every thousand working dogs in Holland.
We at Alyeska were some of the very first breeders in Alaska and in the United States as a whole to utilize the fabulous bloodlines offered by both Chess's father, Fado von der Lutter, and also one of the very first to utilize the bloodlines of Zygo von Haus Sevens. We are pleased to notice that so many other breeders are now following our example by breeding to Zygo and to his brother Zidane. Zidane is now living in the US and is available to US breeders without the breeders needing to go through the trial and effort wewere willing to go through in order to bring this blood into our breeding program. We have always been leaders in bringing bloodlines into the US, and we are proud to have been leaders with these bloodlines as well.
More about Zygo: Zygo
vom Haus Sevens is a bi-color litter brother of Zidane vom Haus Sevens. Both
Zygo and Zidane are very well known worldwide for being very tough competitors
with spectacular protectionwork and hard, full grips. Zygo has competed in
many top trials, including the 2004 Belgian National Championships, where
he placed 14th. His brother Zidane has competed in all of the top trials,
always with top scores in protection. Zidane placed 4th in the 2003 Belgian
National Championships and 5th place at the 2004 Belgian National Championships.
He placed 8th at the 2003 WUSV World Championships and placed 6th at the 2004
WUSV World Championships, with a tie for first place high protection score!!
The sire of Zygo is Magbert vom Blitzen Stein, a dog who performed outstandingly
in Belgium before he was sold as a young dog. Magbert is the son of TWO world
champions! His father Orry von Haus Antverpa won the WUSV World Schutzhund
Championships in both 1992 and 1996, and also won the FCI World Schutzhund
Championships in 1996! This achievement is unparalleled by any other working
dog. Magbert's mother Erika Mat-Roz won the FCI World Schutzhund Championships
in 1997! The mother of Zygo is Randa vom Haus Sevens, the consistent producer
of many many top level working dogs. Thus, the quality of Zygo's pedigree
is simply outstanding, and the fact that a dog of Zygo's proven quality should
come from these bloodlines is no surprise. Both Zygo and Zidane are already
proving to be very successful sires of pups that show excellent potential
for working.
We chose Zygo over his brother Zidane due to Zygo's higher work drives and due to the fact that he is considered to be a more balanced dog, capable of doing extremely well in both obedience and protection. Zygo is a large dog with outstanding bone and a very masculine head. He posesses an outstanding pedigree consisting of many of the top working German Shepherds to be found in the best bloodlines of today. This pedigree, matched with PROVEN working ability as well as PROVEN ability to pass working aptitude on to his pups, this is the hallmark of a good stud dog. This versatility and quality in a stud dog is very important to us in acheiving well-rounded pups, capable of doing any number of tasks as trained adults. This combination of Chess and Zygo produced very attractive black and tans and solid black pups with good bone and very nice structure. These pups had very high working aptitude and a high level of willingness. This combination produced dogs that were and are capable of top level sport, SAR, detection and police K9 patrol work. Again Alyeska paved the way in utilizing top foreign blood in our breeding program to produe superior pups

Asher blazed through his titles with very good scores and has proven himself to be quite an outstanding working dog. Asher was trained at top club in Belgium. Asher is out of the Alyeska "A" litter and our outstanding breeding female, Vashon von der Maineiche.
DAVID & DANIEL VOM ALYESKA
AT WORK IN ISRAEL WITH THE ISRAELI ARMY
David and Daniel, even at their very tender age (under two years of age)
are already proving themselves to be simply outstanding soldiers in the war
on terror. Both are certified bomb and patrol dogs, working at the Jerusalem
bus terminal and at border checkpoints in Israel. These two males are fine
examples of what is produced by our superior breeding bitch, Xinet
von Getevallei.
